Methi Thepla

Thepla is a very famous gujarati roti/bread which you can serve with tea, curd or pickle.  It can carried as snack in travelling and picnic.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fennugreek leaves finely chopped
  • 1 cup wheat floor
  • 2 table spoon gram floor (besan)
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili powder
  • 2 teaspoon green chili-ginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • water as required

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a big bowl and knead into stiff dough.
  2. Divide the knead dough into medium sized balls.
  3. Roall each boll into round shape roti.
  4. Heat tava on mediem flame and  cook each roti (Thepla) on a medium heat with 1 tea spoon oil till both sides turns golden brown.
